Air Pollution
Air Pollution Training Institute - The Air Pollution Training Institute (APTI) offers a variety of training opportunities for air pollution professionals. The delivery methods have been chosen to provide the maximum coverage at minimum cost. There are four types of courses available: classroom, telecourse, self-instructional courses and Web-based.
 

Environmental Justice

Training
Fundamentals of Environmental Justice Workshop (FEJW) - This basic course on environmental justice has been developed by EPA, State, Tribal and local governments, business and industry, academia, environmental groups and communities. It explores the origins of the Environmental Justice movement, perceptions and definitions of environmental justice, laws pertaining to environmental justice, controversies and issues surrounding environmental justice, success stories to show collaborative problem-solving. It also provides an overview of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and other analytical tools to help participants understand, integrate and address environmental justice issues. Register Now
 

Regulatory Assistance

Monitoring and Assessment
Environmental Planning for Small Communities - This program offers a complete one-stop introduction to a wide range of environmental issues and decisions that affect small to medium-sized communities. It offers communities the chance to judge their own needs and preferences, and to make informed decisions on their own. Electronic course.
Training
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) - WPD offers training courses and workshops to explain the regulatory framework and technical considerations of the NPDES Permit program. These courses are designed for permit writers, dischargers, EPA officials and other interested parties.
Watersheds 103: TMDL Training for Practitioners - This one-day course reviews the programmatic and technical components for developing TMDLs under section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act. The training course is intended for those who will actually be developing TMDLs, including technical water resources staff and watershed managers from states, tribes and territories; local governments; EPA regional and headquarters staff; and other interested watershed practitioners.
