Travel Federal Premier Lodging Program (FPLP) Overview

Hotel Rooms for the Federal Traveler

FPLP provides Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) compliant hotel rooms for federal government travelers while on official business.  FPLP is an innovative governmentwide program that puts government travelers in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) compliant rooms; at or below Per Diem rates; right where the traveler needs to be.  FTR part 301-50.3 states when selecting a commercial lodging facility, first consideration must be given to the commercial lodging facilities contracted under FPLP.

GSA is transitioning FPLP from a government-managed to a vendor-managed lodging program with government oversight in FY 05.  CW Government Travel, Inc. (CWGT) of San Antonio has been selected as the vendor for FPLP and will provide program management, expertise in marketing and hospitality services to expand the governmentwide lodging program.

FPLP preferred hotel reservations should be made through the agencies travel management center (TMC), contracted travel office (CTO), eTravel Service (eTS), or Defense Travel Service (DTS). A list of FPLP preferred hotels can be found in the FPLP library.
