FY04 Attorney Student Loan Repayment Program

THE RECEIPT DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING FY 2004 ASLRP REQUEST TO OARM WAS MAY 14, 2004. THE DEPARTMENT IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY ADDITIONAL REQUEST FOR CONSIDERATION AT THIS TIME.
The Department of Justice has allocated funds to provide loan repayments for qualified federal student loans to all current participants (selected in 2003) and for approximately fifty additional attorneys to be selected in 2004. ASLRP is a recruitment and retention incentive program based on 5 U.S.C. § 5379, as amended, and 5 CFR Part 537. The deadlines for submitting requests for participation in this year's program are May 2, 2004 (for current participants) and May 7, 2004 (for new requesters). New recipients will be notified by July 2004.
