NRC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS
TO MEET SEPTEMBER 12 - 14 IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting September 12 - 14 in Rockville, Maryland, to discuss among other items, the agency’s human reliability analysis research plan, a proposed resolution of a generic safety issue related to control of re-criticality following small loss-of-coolant accidents in pressurized water reactors, and proposed guides for the categorization of structures, systems and components in nuclear power plants according to their safety significance.

The meeting, the first portion of which is closed, will start in the NRC Auditorium in the agency’s Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, at 8:30 a.m. on September 12. The open portion will begin at 1:00 p.m in Conference Room 2B3 , Two White Flint North. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. the following two days. A complete agenda is attached.
