The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
staff will meet with Florida Power & Light officials on Monday, March 18,
to discuss the results of NRC's annual assessment of safety performance at
the St. Lucie nuclear power plant.
The meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Room 123 of the Nuclear Training
Center at the plant. The public is invited to observe the meeting, and NRC
officials will be available before the meeting is adjourned to answer any
questions.
A letter sent from the NRC's Regional Administrator to FPL, which addresses
plant safety performance during the previous year and forms the basis of the
meeting discussion, is available from Region II Public Affairs or on the NRC
