1. Federal Mail Symposium
Sponsored by GSA, the First Federal Mail Symposium will be held at the new Washington DC Convention Center. Registration is OPEN to all federal agencies. The workshops will address issues that relate to federal mail employees and discuss new trends in federal mail management, technology, security, safety, policies, and other federal mail center operations issues. 2. Interagency Mail Policy Council (IMPC) Quarterly Meetings
The Interagency Mail Policy Council (IMPC) is a group of federal employees that meets on a quarterly basis to share mail management information, best practices, and provide training. 3. Department of Defense (DoD) Official Mail Management Workshop
Sponsored by the Military Postal Service Agency, the DoD Official Mail Manager Workshop offers training for all Department of Defense agencies and is OPEN to all federal agencies. Training includes basic technical postal information such as: how to reduce postage costs, computing postage, classes of mail, special services, postage meter management, US Postal Service automation, and the Private Express Statutes. 4. Government Mailers Advisory Council (GMAC) Meetings
GMAC is an active partnership of members from the federal mailing community and the US Postal Service in Washington, DC. Formed in August 1994, GMAC is a forum for sharing ideas, suggestions and solutions to improve mail services. The GMAC has made major strides in standardized addressing and reducing misdirected mail. 5. Partners for Progress Printing and Mail Conference
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Partners for Progress, Printing and Mail Conference is held annually in July and is OPEN to all federal agencies. The sessions address issues that confront all mail industry employees and discuss new trends in print media and mail. For more information contact:

6. MailCom Conference and Exhibition
This semi-annual national trade show is co-sponsored by Mail Systems Management Association and Mail Magazine. It also has vendor displays and training. MailCom is an independent educational organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of the science and art of mail communications. For more information:

7. National Postal Forum
This semi-annual educational and trade show event for business mailers and key postal officials is sponsored by the US Postal Service. 8. International Publishing Management Association (IPMA)

9. Parcel Shipping & Distribution Forum
Each year Parcel Shipping & Distribution focuses on delivering proven information that you can take back and put to use right away. 10. Direct Mail Seminar Series
Direct Mail is an advertising medium, sponsored by the US Postal Service, that offers seminars to help organizations reach their mailing goals successfully. During this five-hour seminar, Direct Mail professionals present the process of designing a Direct Mail campaign, from start to finish. Beginning with an overview of Direct Mail, they teach about using the Internet to build a campaign, procuring lists, printing and lettershop operations, concept/copy development, and mail preparation. 11.  Xplor International Conference and Exhibit
This annual Global Electronic Document Systems Conference and Exhibit will be hosted at the Dallas Convention Center, October 24-28, 2004. The conference is designed to expand knowledge and enable professionals to build and share knowledge concerning solutions, tools, and processes for communicating customized information. 12.  Pitney Bowes Mail Management Seminars
Pitney Bowes Mail Management Seminars are offered both at the basic and the advanced level. They provide practical solutions that help realize significant cost-savings in mail management and improve mail center productivity. The 2-day Seminars are OPEN to mail center personnel, mail managers, business managers, and anyone interested in obtaining cost savings. 13. Business Mail Customer Seminars
This workshop, sponsored by the US Postal Service, is conducted on presort standard mail. It is offered throughout in the Washington DC area. 14. Performance Measurement for Government

This conference, presented by the Advanced Learning Institute, and co-sponsored by the George Washington University, will teach federal executives how to measure and monitor strategic plans to ensure innovation and promote an efficient government.
