• Registry Plus™ — Software Programs for Cancer Registries
Registry Plus™, a suite of publicly available free software programs for collecting and processing cancer registry data, is now available online. These software programs, compliant with national standards, are made available by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to implement the National Program of Cancer Registries, established by Public Law 102-515. The Registry Plus™ Suite — Abstract Plus, Prep Plus, CRS Plus, Online Help, Link Plus, and Utility Programs — can be used separately or together for routine or special data collection.
• Cancer Mortality Surveillance — United States, 1990–2000
This surveillance summary presents rates and trends in cancer mortality for all cancer sites combined and for the four most commonly diagnosed cancers in the United States (lung and bronchus, colorectal, prostate, and female breast) by state, sex, and race/ethnicity. The 10 primary cancer sites with the highest age-adjusted death rates, by sex, are also presented for each state and the District of Columbia.
• Brain Tumor Registry Reporting Training Materials
These training materials cover data collection for benign, borderline and malignant brain tumors. The materials are designed for training all reporters, and thus cover all aspects of reporting brain tumor information. In addition, these training materials were developed for use by all agencies to promote consistency in training as agreed by all of the standard-setting organizations.
• United States Cancer Statistics: 2000 Incidence Joint Data Report
The United States Cancer Statistics (USCS): 2000 Incidence report is the second annual joint publication by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) presenting a set of official federal cancer incidence statistics from each state that has high-quality registry data.
