United States General Services Administration is proud to be co-hosting the 2005 annual workshop with the Institute for Management and Appraisals for Public Buildings (INDAABIN).  The 2005 event is scheduled for May 8 - 13 in Washington DC.

Springtime in Washington, also affectionately known in the United States as “The Nation’s Capital,” is a wonderful time to enjoy the city’s many parks, museums and yes…monuments.  The weather should be agreeable for walks while viewing the many sites available from your hotel.  The many gardens around the city will be in full bloom, and are ready to welcome you.

The theme for this conference is “Anticipating Customer Needs,” focusing on customers and how any organization must employ physical, technological and human assets to be effective and succeed in the future.

The conference agenda is still very much in the development stage, but the overall structure will remain the same as in prior conferences with panel discussions to small group discussions, tours, updates from member organizations, guest speakers and different venues to augment the subject matter program.  It is our intention to offer participants an opportunity to gain an international perspective on real estate and insight into international ideals, methodologies and trends; as well as tactics for innovative thinking and problem solving.

This week of international sharing will commence with a welcome reception on Sunday night.  Several social events are being planned throughout the week.

We look forward to seeing you in 2005 and hope you find this workshop to be enjoyable, educational and culturally stimulating.
