The Office of Applied Science is responsible for serving as the Public Building Service's repository of expert knowledge and resources. This office is the national resource when seeking information related to delivering expert resources in the areas of Energy, Work Places, Sustainability, Environment, and Child Care.

The Office is responsible for tracking and fostering evolving technology, influencing, adapting, and advocating relevant laws and regulations, and sharing expert knowledge, information, and data across the organization.

This Office includes the following Divisions:
