Real Property Acquisition Program

GSA provides site selection and real property acquisition services for federal agencies in accordance with the Public Buildings Act of 1959, and the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended.

Relocation Program

GSA provides relocation, planning advisory services and claims processing for businesses, individuals and farm operations displaced due to the acquisition of real property for projects using federal funds.

These activities are carried out under the legislation contained in the Uniformed Relocation Assistance and Real Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (Uniform Act).  The enacting legislation is contained in the Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR, Part 24.
