    Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

    A research study to determine if an investigational drug is safe and effective in relieving symptoms related to irritable bowel syndrome in adult females. Female volunteers between 18 - 65 who have no serious medical or surgical conditions and are willing to have an endoscopic and/or radiologic bowel evaluation, if they have not received one in the past 5 years, may be eligible. Research sites located throughout the United States.

    Diabetes - Type 2

    A research study to evaluate the safety, effectiveness, and tolerability of an investigational "time-released" formulation of a diabetes drug versus the currently marketed version in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Volunteers 18 - 75 years old who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes may be eligible. Research sites located in Fayetteville, N.C., and La Jolla, Calif.

    Insomnia

    A research study of an investigational medication for depression-induced insomnia. Volunteers 21 - 64 who have been diagnosed with major depression and have difficulty falling asleep at night, are sleeping less than 6 1/2 hours a night, and take 30 minutes or more to fall asleep may be eligible. Research site located in Lakewood, Wash.
