A research study of a combination of medications in treating poor-prognosis patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma. Volunteers with histologically confirmed advanced (stage IV or recurrent disease) renal cell carcinoma who have not received prior systemic therapy may be eligible. Research sites located throughout the United States.

A research study to evaluate using breast ultrasound in the detection of breast cancer, in addition to mammography. Eligible volunteers may include women at least 25 years old who have no signs or symptoms of breast cancer, whose breast tissue has been determined to be at least moderately dense as viewed on a mammogram, and among whom at least one of the following applies: a prior history of breast cancer at least one year ago; mother, sister or daughter has had breast cancer; prior breast biopsy showed results that were atypical; have a mutation in a breast cancer gene; have had radiation treatment to the chest before age 30 and at least 8 years ago; or do not have suspicious breast lumps or any other signs of breast cancer. A research study to find ways to improve the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Volunteers ages 50 - 90 who are in good health, have known mild to moderate Alzheimer's and have been taking 10 mg of Aricept each day for at least three months may be eligible. Research sites located throughout the United States.
