Acid-Fast Direct Smear Microscopy

This program is designed to assist laboratorians in performing direct AFB microscopy. The program content is intended to complement laboratory manuals by demonstrating appropriate technique, emphasizing standard methods and promoting consistent reading and reporting of smear results.

The technical content of this training program, which was developed by an international team of experts, follows the methods and practices recommended by WHO and IUATLD.

This training program is also available in its original format - a package containing a video, audiocassette, booklet and set of 35mm slides for projection.
