2001 (http://nhts.ornl.gov): The National Household Travel Survey 2001, is a combined effort
of Federal Highway Administration's Nationwide Personal Transportation
Survey (NPTS) and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics American
Travel Survey (ATS), which were conducted separately in previous
years.

- Tool for using 1995 NPTS data in small-
and medium-size communities.
- CourseWare - This online course
provides a fast-track introduction and tutorial for the 1995 NPTS Survey.
On completion, you will have the understanding needed to efficiently
and accurately analyze the NPTS data.

Warning: It is important that the NPTS data user not attempt to directly compare the
data on daily travel from the 1995 survey with the 1990 or any of the earlier NPTSs. For details, see page 10 of
the Early Results Report .
