CDC Growth Chart Training
This training offers a set of self-directed, interactive training
modules for health care professionals using the pediatric growth charts in
clinical and public health settings to assess growth of infants, children,
and adolescents. The training modules were developed as a collaborative
initiative between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
and HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). The overall purpose of
the modular training is to provide health care professionals in the United
States with expertise on using and interpreting the new growth charts.

Set
This PowerPoint slide presentation, CDC Growth Charts 2000, was
developed by the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity to provide
training to health care professionals at national and state meetings. The
presentation focuses on the 1) rationale for revising the growth charts,
and 2) the BMI-for-age charts including advantages of using these charts
and calculating BMI.
