The National Judicial College and NHTSA developed traffic safety courses for the nation's traffic court judges, magistrates and hearing officers who handle motor vehicle related cases. The National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada will present the following courses in 2003:
 
Traffic Issues in the 21st Century, May 5-9, 2003
Sentencing Motor Vehicle Law Offenders, August 25-27, 2003
DUI Primer for New Judges: Impaired Driving Case Fundamentals, November 3-4, 2003

 What Do Traffic Crashes Cost?
The Total Costs to Employers by State and Industry. This report reflects a cost update of the 1994-95 Traffic Safety and Health Care: State and National Estimates of Employer Costs. The report provides employers with the specific costs of motor vehicle crash injuries by state and by industry type. The update uses the most recent crash costs to calculate health expenses and estimate savings from implementing traffic safety programs in the workplace.
