Submit Reports

The Prevention Communications Research Database (PCRD) is a virtual library of reports based on audience research studies and, as such, serves as a helpful resource for program planners. Program planners will find that as they develop health communications programs and activities, PCRD research information can help them to sharpen their understanding of and ability to characterize target audiences. The usefulness of PCRD is enhanced as agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) contribute reports that then can be disseminated to a wide range of interested parties. Dissemination of reports provides valuable information that enables colleagues, Federal, State, and local planners, and others to better understand the audience research being conducted.

HHS staff can submit reports that meet the selection criteria by filling in the following information and submitting an electronic file of the report. To submit a report, you will be required to:

  1. Answer a few questions about the report you are submitting.
  2. Select the identifiers that appropriately describe the prevention topic, race and ethnicity, age group, etc., covered in the report.
  3. Submit a summary/abstract (if available).
  4. Provide an electronic file of the report.

The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion reviews submissions to ensure that they meet the selection criteria. Staff members will be notified by e-mail that their reports have been reviewed and accepted or not.

If you have questions about this database or about submitting your report(s), review the Common Questions section of the site or contact pcrd@osophs.dhhs.gov.
