October is National Disability
Employment Awareness Month

Senator Ensign has been a strong proponent of improved opportunities for individuals with disabilities. He recently received the Jacob K. Javits Legislative Award at an Opportunity Village benefit in Las Vegas. According to the NISH, formerly the National Industries for the Severely Handicapped, Senator Ensign was presented the award "in recognition of the outstanding support you have shown on behalf of people with disabilities." Senator Ensign also made a special presentation to Executive Director Ed Guthrie in honor of the recent celebration of Opportunity Village's 50th Birthday.
