    A research study to compare the effectiveness and safety of two different doses of an orally administered investigational medication and Asacol capsules in the maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis. Volunteers 18 to 80 who have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis but are in remission may be eligible. Research site located in Wheat Ridge, Colo.

    A research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational Herpes vaccine. Women ages 10-17 who have not had a previous hepatitis A or herpes vaccine or a history of hepatitis A or herpes may be eligible. Research site located in Naples, Fla.

    Rheumatoid Arthritis

    A research study to assess the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Volunteers between 18 and 80 who have had symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis for at least 12 months and have been diagnosed with the condition as defined by the American Rheumatism Association may be eligible. Research site located in Rochester, NY.
