A research study of an investigational medication to treat depression. Volunteers 7-17 who have symptoms such as feeling sad, irritable, crying without reason, eating problems, thinking life is not worth living, fatigue, lack of motivation, doing poorly in school, sleeping problems, and poor concentration may be eligible. Research site located in Hialeah, Fla.

Hepatitis
A research study of an investigational medication to treat chronic hepatitis C. Volunteers at least 18 years of age who have been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis C and who have never been treated for the condition may be eligible. Research site located in Tacoma, Wash.

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
A research study to determine if an investigational medical device will control symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Volunteers at least 18 years of age who have documented typical symptoms of GERD and who show symptomatic improvement on medications called proton pump inhibitors may be eligible. Research site located in Chicago, Ill.
