Innovations Innovations Overview

With 13,000 GSA associates supporting over one million federal workers located in 8,000 government-owned and leased buildings in 2,000 U.S. communities and overseas, it’s only natural that GSA leads in the development of innovations.

With the following innovations—and more in the works—GSA will continue setting the pace to make government work better for federal agencies and citizens.

  • E-Government (E-Gov) Initiatives

Makes interactions with and within the government work better for federal agencies and the citizens they serve.
  • Workplace 20.20

Addresses issues of economic pressures, demographic shifts, and technological opportunities as well as their consequences on workers’ performance, resource constraints, and human capital challenges.
  • Proposal Evaluation Tool

Assists contracting officers with evaluating the complexities associated with share-in-savings proposals. The primary purpose of the tool is to ensure that all proposals are evaluated on a level playing field.
  • Business Case Decision Tool

Guides the user through the thought process necessary to develop and manage a share-in-savings project. Users answer a series of questions and enter budget estimates.
  • Adaptable Workplace Lab (AWL)

Features multiple high performance workplace technologies in the 10,000 square foot AWL space. The project is the result of a unique partnership created with the National Science Foundation.
