A note about Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) clusters: Articles are assigned to an EBM cluster based on publication type and MeSH terms. Consequently, articles that are not yet indexed will fall into the default classification "Journal Article." To increase the likelihood of finding articles higher in the evidence pyramid, use the "English + Human" search limit at the top of the Profile tab. Available for PPC, coming soon for Palm. |

PubMed on Tap
What: |
PubMed on Tap is an application for PDAs that retrieves MEDLINE® citations directly from the PDA through a wireless connection to the Internet. PubMed on Tap features include several PubMed search limits, a history of previous queries, the ability to save citations to the Memo Pad, two clustered results options, and link-out to full-text Web sites.

Who: |
PubMed on Tap is being developed for mobile health care professionals. |
Why: |
The project goal is to discover and implement design principles to facillitate practitioners' access to medical information at the point of service.
To discover these principles, we need feed back. Here are 2 ways that you can help:
1. Give us your comments on our PMoT user forum.
2. Fill out our anonymous feedback questionnaire. |
Hardware Requirements: |
Current versions of the PubMed on Tap Client run on either Palm OS PDAs or PocketPC PDAs. The PDA must have a wireless connection to the Internet. |
Caveat: The PMoT proxy server runs on an R&D http server. You may experience an occasional irregularity. |
