DCL-02-36 DATE: December 12, 2002 TO: ALL IV-D DIRECTORS RE: Introduction of Tribal IV-D Agencies Dear Colleague: As you may know, the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) has approved direct federal funding for seven tribal IV-D programs. Please find enclosed important contact information for each of these programs. You should contact the tribal IV-D agency directly when seeking assistance with a case, a referral or a request for information. If you need assistance from a tribe that does not receive federal funding for a IV-D program, we recommend that you contact the tribe8217s administrative office, court, social service or child support agency to obtain that tribe8217s legal and procedural requirements. OCSE will continue to inform IV-D agencies when additional tribes or tribal organizations are approved for direct funding. If you have any questions about this letter, please contact Program Manager Gary Kimble at (202) 590-7776 or at gkimble@acf.hhs.gov. Please join me in welcoming the tribal IV-D agencies to the child support community. Sincerely, Sherri Z. Heller, Ed.D.
