Week ahead: On Sunday, the President will depart the ranch and
return to Washington, D.C., where he will host the National Governors
Association dinner.
Monday morning the President will meet with the governors in the
State Dining Room. That afternoon he will participate in a photo
opportunity with the Ohio State University football team, the
University of Southern California women's volleyball team, the
University of California-Los Angeles men's soccer team, and the
University of Portland women's soccer team, and Middlebury College --
for winning the national title in their respective sports.

Tuesday morning, the President will meet with the Prime Minister of
Bulgaria in the Oval Office. Later that afternoon, he will meet with
his National Economic Council in the Cabinet Room.
Wednesday, the President -- Wednesday morning, the President will
do a drop-by at a briefing for the Latino Coalition in the EEOB. Later
that morning he will meet with the President of Azerbaijan in the Oval
Office. On Wednesday evening, the President will make remarks at the
American Enterprise Institute annual dinner.
And Thursday, the President will meet with the President of
Afghanistan in the Oval. That evening, the President will participate
in a ceremony for the National Humanities Medal 2002 winners in the
Oval Office.
Friday afternoon, the President will depart for the White House --
depart the White House for Camp David, where he will spend the
weekend. And his radio address, which is embargoed and you will
receive later today, is about the importance of the Senate holding an
up or down vote to confirm the nomination of Miguel Estrada to the D.C.
Circuit.
And I would like to especially wish a very happy birthday to a
member of the White House press corps, who, unless I am mistaken, is
covering his 12th President -- to wish a very happy birthday to Mark
