  Career Opportunities in the U.S. Marshals Service     

 

Deputy U.S. Marshals are charged with some of the most unique and exciting duties known to law enforcement. As a nationwide agency, the Marshals Service needs qualified men and women capable of carrying out a broad range of law enforcement as well as administrative responsibilities in every imaginable setting; in major urban areas as well as small towns. It's a special agency that requires special people.

 

 

For law enforcement positions, the U.S. Marshals Service is currently limited to hiring individuals who:

-- Are completing an authorized Cooperative Education Program with the Marshals Services through an accredited College or University;

-- Are on the register for eligible candidates on the basis of taking the Deputy U.S. Marshals Exam.  There will be no public testing of the Deputy United States Marshals Exam in 2004. However, currently, there is a lengthy register of eligible candidates that USMS Recruiting Specialist are utilizing to fill Deputy U.S. Marshal positions.

DEPUTY U.S. MARSHAL MILITARY TESTING DISCONTINUED  Professional Credential Services (PCS) was engaged by the U.S. Marshals Service for application processing, examination administration and score reporting for the testing of active duty enlistment personnel. Professional Credential Services has discontinued testing of separating active duty military.

The Deputy U.S. Marshal test is presently not opened for separating military.
