NAVY

 

            Presearch Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $49,768,485 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide scientific engineering and technical support for the Interactive Multi-sensor Analysis Training (IMAT) program.  IMAT technologies shall primarily be used in the development of new capabilities for signature training, signature guidance to the Fleet and synthetic signature generation for stimulation of off-the-shelf tactical systems.  Work will be performed in West Bethesda, Md. (90 percent); Burtonsville, Md. (5 percent); Fairfax Va. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed by October 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, West Bethesda, Md., is the contracting activity (N00167-05-D-0001)

 

            Electric Boat Corp., a General Dynamics Co., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $15,483,669 cost-plus-fixed fee modification to previously awarded to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-2110) for an additional year of Reactor Plant Planning Yard Services.  Work will be performed in Groton, Conn.  No additional information (work completion) is provided on naval nuclear propulsion contracts.  Contact funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

            Electronic Data Systems Corp., Herndon, Va., was awarded on Oct. 7, 2004, a $6,897,356 fixed-fee/firm-fixed-price contract for program and management support services in support of the retirement of the Supply Maintenance Aviation Reengineering Team (SMART).  Work will be performed at Mechanicsburg, Pa. (90 percent); Philadelphia, Pa. (5 percent); Norfolk, Va. (4.5 percent); and San Diego, Calif. (.5 percent), and is expected to be completed by May 2005.  Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.   The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00140-05-C-L920).

 

            General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $6,661,056 modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00383-01-D-004M) to exercise an option for procurement of the low-pressure turbine nozzle air seal supporting the F-404 engine on the F/A-18 aircraft.  This option includes a procurement for the Government of Kuwait (less than one percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  Work will be performed at Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by December 2006.  Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity.

 

ARMY

 

            Honeywell International Inc., South Bend, Ind., was awarded on Oct. 7, 2004, a delivery order amount of $5,048,530 as part of a $29,821,475 firm-fixed-price contract for 20 System Analyzer Test Sets.  Work will be performed in South Bend, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on June 17, 2004.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-04-D-0315).

 

            GMA Cover Corp.*, Port Huron, Mich., was awarded on Oct. 7, 2004, a delivery order amount of $754,397 as part of an $18,186,390 firm-fixed-price contract for Vehicular Fitted Covers for Tactical Repair Trailers.  Work will be performed in Port Huron, Mich., and is expected to be completed by July 15, 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were two bids solicited on Feb. 3, 2004, and two bids were received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-0167).

 

            Craft-Tech Manufacturing*, Bohemia, N.Y., was awarded on Oct. 7, 2004, a delivery order amount of $651,098 as part of an $11,292,696 firm-fixed-price contract for Brushguard Kits for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles.  Work will be performed in Bohemia, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were two bids solicited on Oct. 22, 2003, and 14 bids were received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-0178).

 

            AM General Corp., Mishawaka, Ind., was awarded on Oct. 7, 2004, a delivery order amount of $270,788 as part of a $36,526,324 firm-fixed-price contract for Drivin Differential for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles.  Work will be performed in Mishawaka, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 15, 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 11, 2004, and one bid was received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-0289).

 

AIR FORCE

 

            L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $18,473,060 firm fixed price contract modification to provide for Contractor Logistics Support for seventy-six C-21 Aircraft.  The locations of performances are L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., and Honeywell International, Phoenix, Ariz.  Total funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by April 2005.  The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-94-C-0950-P00343).

 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

            Pocono Produce Co.*, Stroudsburg, Pa., is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity type contract for full line food distribution for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.  This contract invokes the third one-year option under contract number SPM300-05-D-3019. Performance completion date is expected to be Oct. 7, 2005. Contract funds have been allocated from fiscal year 04. There were 35 proposals solicited and 2 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.  (SPM300-05-D-3019)

 

            Burlington Industries, LLC., Burlington, N.C., is being awarded a $5,613,691 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for P/W Serge, AF Shade 1620 cloth for the U.S. Air Force.  Performance completion date is expected to be December 23, 2005. Contract funds will expire by the end of the current fiscal year (FY05). There were 31 proposals solicited and 1 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.  (SP0100-05-C-0336).
