NAVY

 

            General Electric Aircraft Engine, General Electric Co., Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $38,684,262 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N00019-02-C-3021) to exercise an option for the procurement of the full rate production of 86 T58 engine reliability improvement program (ERIP) module kits to replace the gas path portion of the T58-GE-16 engine in the Marine Corps H-46E.  Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed in September 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

 

            Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training and Support, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $16,384,611 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N68335-03-C-0246) to exercise an option to maintain Navy and Marine Corps consolidated support pool, performance based logistics, and consolidated automated support system stations.  Work will be performed at various ashore and afloat aviation intermediate maintenance depots, Navy training sites, and Marine Corps airwings, and is expected to be completed in September 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

 

            L-3 Communications Corp., Sylmar, Calif., is being awarded a $12,867,000 order under a basic ordering agreement under previously awarded firm-fixed-price, definite-delivery/definite-quantity contract (N00383-99-G-015N) for purchase of spares for the AQS-18V-3 dipping sonar system for the SH-70 helicopter for the government of Taiwan under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  Work will be performed at Sylmar, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 2005.  Contract funds will not expire by the end of the fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity (Order 5029).

 

            Koam Engineering Services* (KES), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded an $11,148,910 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost reimbursement contract to support combined test bed operation and support services along with supporting labs and laboratory equipment including but not limited to the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System, Multifunctional Information Distribution System, and AEGIS systems and equipment.  This is a two-year contract with one three-year options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $28,873,621.  Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by October, 2006. If the option is exercised, work would be completed by October, 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with one offer received via the Small Business Administration 8(a) program (solicitation number N66001-04-R-0037).  One offer was received.  Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-05-D-0009).

 

ARMY

 

            Raytheon Co., Bedford, Mass., was awarded on Oct. 14, 2004, a $7,476,313 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for FY04 PATRIOT engineering services.  Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass, (12 percent), Huntsville, Ala. (1 percent), Andover, Mass.(2 percent), Tewksbury, Mass. (71 percent), El Paso, Texas (1 percent), Bedford, Mass. (12 percent), and Orlando, Fla. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 12, 2010.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 26, 2003.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0020).

 

            Phillips & Jordan Inc., Zephyrhills, Fla., was awarded on Oct. 16, 2004, a delivery order amount of $7,033,202 as part of a $7,305,362 cost-plus-base-fee contract for temporary housing.  Work will be performed in DeSoto, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 12, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 31, 2004.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (W912EP-04-D-0027).
