Projections of Future Growth of the Older Population
  • Older Population by Age: 1900 - 2050 - Table and two charts (with an option to download as a spreadsheet) showing the past and projected growth of the older population. Developed by AoA based on Census data.

  • Older Population of the United States: Male and Female Population Estimates/Projections and Sex Ratio 1990 - 2050 Numbers and Female/Male Ratio using estimates and projections includes a chart of the ratios and an Excel version and a PDF version.

  • Aging into the 21st Century - A special report by noted demographer Jacob Siegel providing the 1996 projections on the future elderly population. Includes population, marital status, and household information as well as information about labor force participation, income, education, living arrangements, and life expectancy.
