E-mail Subscription Services and Browser Synchronization
OFAC now offers two e-mail subscription services that will provide subscribers with notices about changes and updates to OFAC's web site. These voluntary services allow users to subscribe to one of two separate distribution lists: financial operations bulletins geared toward the financial operations community, or "What's New" notices geared toward the general public (including exporters & importers, practicing attorneys, and researchers). Generally speaking, those in the operations areas of banks, brokerage houses, and other financial service providers are not concerned with the level of detail and wealth of information provided in notices to the general public. Instead, they are primarily interested in changes directly impacting them, such as updates to OFAC's listing Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons. All "What's New" notices to the general public will also contain OFAC's financial operations bulletins.
The links below also show how to set up Microsoft's Internet Explorer to automatically check for OFAC updates through browser synchronization.
Financial Operations Bulletin - for the financial community.
What's New Notice - for the general public (including researchers, practicing attorneys, and exporters & importers).
