Significant Enforcement Actions

Escalated Enforcement Actions Issued to Individuals

This site includes a collection of significant enforcement actions (referred to as "escalated"), that have been issued to licensed and non-licensed individuals. Enforcement actions involving individuals are addressed in Section VIII of the NRC Enforcement Policy, NUREG-1600.

The following escalated actions are included on this site:

Notices of Violation that include Severity Level I, II, or III violations (IANOV). These actions normally remain on this site for a period of one year from the date of the action.

Orders that modify, suspend, or revoke a license (for licensed individuals) and order that limit or prohibit involvement in NRC-licensed activities (IAORDER). These actions remain on this site for the duration of the restriction.

This site also includes letters and Plea Agreements documenting restrictions in NRC-licensed activities negotiated and issued by other organizations, such as the Department of Justice (IALETTER).
