Air Toxins- are known or suspected to cause cancer and other serious health effects, such as damage to respiratory or nervous system. EPA is working with state, local, and tribal governments to reduce air toxins release of 188 pollutants to the environment. Examples of some air toxins are asbestos, metals such as cadmium, mercury, chromium, lead compounds, etc.
