NN/LM GMR Services for Health Professionals

Referrals to Libraries

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine Greater Midwest Region coordinates a network of almost 900 medical libraries in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. We do not provide library services directly, but can provide referrals to medical libraries that may be able to assist you.

Training

Our librarians provide Internet Grateful Med, PubMed, Internet Resources, and other library technology classes and demonstrations. Our target audience consists of health professionals or organizations that serve rural, minority, inner-city, or underserved populations, or those in the area of public health. We currently offer these courses and demonstartions listed below and can develop specialized courses on request.

Exhibits at Professional Meetings

Our staff promote National Library of Medicine programs and services at national health professional meetings. Through Exhibit Awards, we provide funding for network member librarians to exhibit at state and regional meetings. Contact us if you are interested in having an exhibit at your next meeting.
