Technology
Technology is so much fun, but we can drown in our technology.
The fog of information can drive out knowledge.
--Daniel Boorstin, former director of the Library of Congress
Technology in the MidContinental
Region
The purpose of the MidContinental Region’s technology priority project
is to provide Network members in the region with project support and technology
training, enabling them to become key technology resources for their organizations.
As the quote from Daniel Boorstin
highlights, it is all too easy to ‘drown in our technology,’
and librarians are often the only members of their organizations who recognize
that ‘the fog of information can drive out knowledge.’
