Assessment and Evaluation Project
The objective is to develop an ongoing program of assessment and evaluation
program for the MidContinental Region. This program will identify regional
needs and opportunities for program development. Utilizing the capabilities
of the Internet, targeted surveys will be conducted. In addition, anecdotal
evidence will be collected. An effort will be made to evaluate the quality
of services to demonstrate the value of network membership.
Library Improvement Project
The objective is to identify libraries in MidContinental Region that do
not have access to MEDLARS databases, participate in DOCLINE and meet
the minimum criteria specified in the NN/LM RFP. Improvement projects
will involve introducing key staff and health professionals to NN/LM resources
and services. The possibilities for equipment loans and/or donations will
be explored. Follow-up procedures will be developed to monitor progress.
