Displaying Study Tools
Caption:
Students from the Glenallen Elementary School in Silver Spring, Maryland, display a number of tools they use to study science in their classroom and at a pond in the Gatorville Outdoor Classroom adjacent to the school. The students and their teacher Kristi Cameron collaborated to build Gatorville with a small grant from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The project won Cameron a Presidential Award for Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2001, which is administered in part by the National Science Foundation.
