Programs Implemented by Tribes in Indian Country:
Currently, no Region 10 tribes have EPA-approved
Clean Air Act programs or delegations. Several have programs
such as registration of sources, open burning ordinances,
and smoke management. Most are building the foundations for
air quality by training staff, educating the community, conducting
air monitoring and emission inventories, and drafting regulations.
The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes received Treatment as State status
in Fiscal Year 2000.
