Programs Implemented by Tribes in Indian Country:
The Cherokees are implementing an ambient air monitoring program. This program will consist of PM2.5, ozone, and carbon monoxide, and meteorological monitoring at the onset. EPA- Region 4, in conjunction with the State of North Carolina, is providing technical assistance and guidance as necessary to help build their capacity for a successful ambient air monitoring program.

 
 
Programs Implemented by Region 4 in Indian Country:
The Catawbas will be receiving an Acid Deposition monitor from the EPA's Acid Rain Division in Headquarters. They will receive full funding for maintenance and analysis for several years from the Acid Division.
