EMERGENCY PROGRAMS

The Emergency Programs staff at PPQ headquarters supports the implementation of pest responses and emergencies in the regions and states by providing for policy development, program guidelines, securing resources, drafting budgetary requests and domestic quarantine workplans, tracking the regulations in development, and coordinating communications with the Department and external stakeholders. Members of the staff are also engaged with the PPQ regions and states to implement the Incident Command System nationwide as a unified organizational structure for responding to plant pest and other national emergencies.
