What is ICE on Automating Mortality?
The International Collaborative Effort (ICE) on Automating Mortality is one of several international activities sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). The purpose of this ICE is to:
bullet graphicShare knowledge and experience of automated systems for coding mortality information
bullet graphicTo develop and improve existing automated systems through collaboration
bullet graphicTo facilitate the transition to ICD-10 for mortality
bullet graphicTo establish mechanisms for technical support for automated systems.

Primary responsibility for ICE is located at CDC, NCHS, 3311 Toledo Road, Hyattsville, Maryland 20782.
