CDC Compensation Rates for Donations of Blood and Other Biological Fluid

  1. BLOOD PRODUCTS
     
     $ .08 per ml. of normal whole blood
     
     Minimum payment $ 5
     Maximum payment $ 40
     
     $ .18 per ml. of whole blood from individuals with significant titers of a convalescent or infrequently occurring antibody or blood group antigen(s)
     
      Minimum payment $ 5
      Maximum payment $ 90
     
      $ .22 per ml. of whole blood from donors with rare antibodies or blood groups
     
      Minimum payment $ 5
      Maximum payment $110
     
      $ .20 per ml. of apheresis product obtained (plasma or cells)
     
      Minimum payment $ 5
      Maximum payment $100
     
  2. BIOLOGICAL FLUIDS OTHER THAN BLOOD
     
      Random body fluid collections
      $3.50 per specimen
     
      Routine urine collection
      $5.00 per specimen
     
      24 hour fluid collection
      $15 per 24 hour specimen
     
      Saliva specimens
      $5.00 per specimen
