Information Technology (IT) Workforce Assessment Survey 2004
The Information Technology (IT) Workforce Assessment Survey 2004 is now online! The Chief Information Officers Council (CIOC) Workforce and Human Capital for IT Committee, along with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) e-Gov Office, invite you to provide your valuable input.

The web-based survey aims to collect information from Federal IT professionals about the types of work you perform, as well as the competencies, skills, and certifications that you apply to your job. Survey results will be used to identify trends and needs in the Department of the Interior, and across the Federal government IT population, and as input toward future human capital planning efforts. Only aggregated information will be reported; no individual responses will be seen. Please be assured that your responses will be held in strict confidence.

By participating, you help complete a picture of the Federal-wide IT workforce while providing the Department of the Interior information to help target training and development strategies. Your participation is important and makes a difference! (To see reports on the results of last year's survey, please go to http://cio.gov/ and click on the "IT Workforce /HR" link on the right-hand side of the page).

A link to the 2004 survey is included below. It should take approximately 20-30 minutes of your time, and will be available until Friday, September 10, 2004. Your participation is voluntary, and all responses will remain anonymous. Major national unions have been advised of the survey.

Please note that there is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of the survey website, which covers a range of content, technical and other topics. If you should have additional questions about the survey or its purpose, please refer to the FAQ.

Thank you in advance for your participation…Take it and make a difference!
