Teaching at "Gatorville"
Caption:
Fourth grade teacher Kristi Cameron holds a science class in the Gatorville Outdoor Classroom adjacent to Glenallen Elementary School in Silver Spring, Maryland. Cameron and her students collaborated to build Gatorville with a small grant from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The project won Cameron a Presidential Award for Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2001, which is administered in part by the National Science Foundation.
