UNITED STATES MARSHALS
SERVICE ARRESTS REYMUNDO FLORES ALANIZ AND VICTOR NAVA-FRANCO
San
Antonio - On October 13, 2004 the United States Marshals Service in
the Southern District of Texas with the assistance of the Webb
County Sheriff’s Department arrested Reymundo
Flores Alaniz and Victor Nava-Franco, two
(2) escapees from the Frio County Jail. On August 6, 2004 five (5)
federal inmates escaped from the Frio County Jail. Alaniz and Nava-Franco’s
arrests are the latest development in the on going investigation
into the Frio County Jail escape which to date has seen the arrest
of three of the escapees as well as other individuals who aided and
abetted with the escape.
The
United States Marshal Service with the assistance of the Bexar
County Sheriff’s Office has previously captured one of the escapees,
Manuel De La Fuente, and continues the search for the two (2)
remaining escapees Luis Angel Garcia-Esparza and Jorge Arturo
Castaneda-Silva. There is a $10,000.00 reward for information
leading to the capture of either of the two (2) remaining escapees.
United
States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins
said, “I would like to thank the good citizens of Webb County and
the fine work of both the United States Marshals Service Deputies
and the Deputies of the Webb County Sheriff’s Department in the
apprehension of Alaniz and Nava-Franco. The United States Marshals
Service continues to investigate and pursue the remaining escapees
and the individuals responsible for creating an environment allowing
those prisoners to escape. This investigation will continue until
justice has been served.”
