Get the most out of your government with FirstGov.gov, the U.S. Government's official web portal. Apply for government jobs, and benefits, renew your driver's license, file your taxes online, and even check the weather and sports. You can do all this and more at FirstGov.gov , your front door to federal and state government websites.

If you're looking for a new job, why not consider working for your government? From FirstGov.gov click on “Apply for Jobs,” and search for jobs in the government. Assess your skills to find the job that best matches your abilities and interests. Create your resume, and submit your application online.

See if you might be one of millions of citizens who have unclaimed refunds, or who overlooked the new tax credit. Click on the “Money and Taxes” section, go to “Featured Sites” and click on “Government Owes You.”

FirstGov.gov also allows you to run some of your most urgent errands without ever leaving your home. Click on “E-file Your Taxes” to file your taxes for free. From FirstGov.gov you can link to state services, such as filing state taxes electronically, renewing your car registration, or reserving a campsite at a nearby recreational facility.
