Centre for Missing and Exploited Children
This site increases public awareness about international child abductions.
The International Rescue Committee
(IRC)
The IRC provides assistance to refugees, displaced persons and others fleeing
persecution and violent conflict throughout the world. Often one of the first
agencies on the scene of an emergency, the IRC delivers critical medical and
public health services, food, and shelter. Once a crisis stabilizes, it provides
education, training, economic assistance and, if necessary, resettlement assistance.
International Victimology
Web site
This site offers resources about improving justice for victims of crime
and the abuse of power. The site includes links to several victimology
databases and to other victimology resources on the Internet.
United
Nations Office for Drug Control and Crime Prevention
This site is home to the United Nations Centre for International Crime
Prevention, which is the UN office responsible for crime prevention, criminal
justice, and law reform. It also focuses attention on combating transnational
organized crime and human trafficking.
Victim Assistance Online: A Comprehensive
Resource Center
Run by Victim Assistance Online Resources, a nonprofit organization serving
the victim assistance/victimology community, the Center supports service
providers and professionals in related fields with an online directory
of information and education resources.
World
Society of Victimology
The World Society of Victimology is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization
that consults with the UN's ECOSOC and the Council of Europe. Its members
include victim assistance practitioners, scientists, physicians, lawyers,
and others in the victim services field.
This site also has a new searchable bibliographic database on victimology
that contains more than 1,800 references, is searchable by author, title,
or abstract, and is available in English, German, Hungarian, Polish, and
Spanish.

Safe Horizon, a nonprofit organization in New York, has developed this
site with links to more than 150 domestic violence resources throughout
the world. Resources are identified in such countries as Argentina, Australia,
Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, England, India, Italy, Latin America, Mexico,
New Zealand, Peru, Scotland, South Asia, United States, Uruguay, and
Venezuela.
The International Humanitarian
Campaign Against the Exploitation of Children (IHCAEC)
Works to combat trafficking in children. Its primary objectives include getting
rape counselors and medical assistance into safe houses and reintegration programs,
working with local law enforcement to create training programs, and raising global
awareness of child exploitation.
