What Is a Learning Disability?
What Is a Learning Disability?

Learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, usually have nothing to do with vision. If a child has a learning disability, new glasses or special eye exercises won't help. Once the Eye M.D. (ophthalmologist) has ruled out true eye problems, such as amblyopia, refractive errors or eye disease, as the cause of poor school performance, the child should see his or her pediatrician to be evaluated for a learning disability.
