PRODUCTIVITY - Apply performance management principles to ensure that activities of personnel bring about performance results that are aligned with FDA’s consumer protection mission and which utilize information technology advantageously.

ENFORCEMENT - Support balanced use of a broad array of enforcement tools and activities of regulatory oversight and civil and criminal investigation of suspected FDA violations and violators.

CULTURE - Communicate and encourage a culture that focuses on impacts, customer service, quality of employee worklife, and quality work products.

LEVERAGING AND PARTNERSHIPS - Consider leveraging as a primary strategy, actively seeking out opportunities for collaboration with stakeholders that further consumer protection by sharing of data, enhancing communications, and promoting efficient utilization of resources.

STRENGTHEN SCIENCE BASE - Support programs including certification that expand scientific expertise and knowledge; maintain and enhance infrastructure, equipment, and facilities required for program accomplishment; and incorporate the most advanced techniques and information in science, policy, regulatory processes, and organizational development.
