Q: When will CEUs
(Continuing Education Units) be available for ORA U courses?
A: ORA U will begin implementing CEUs in October 2001. Check individual
course information for applicability.
Q: Why do a get
the following message when I try to install Shockwave? "Your current security
settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not
display correctly."
A: Your browser’s security settings are too high.
- On your browser’s menu bar, click on "Tools," then "Internet
Options." Select the "Security" tab. Change the default security settings
by sliding the bar down to "Medium" and click OK/Yes to close the dialog box.
- If your security settings have a custom setting, you will see the word
"Custom" rather than a slider bar. Click on "Custom Level." Scroll
down until you see "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins." Click "Enable"
under this heading, and then click OK/Yes until the dialog box is closed.
Q: Why should I
uncheck the "E-mail me about shockwave.com updates" box?
A: Leaving this box checked and providing your e-mail address will add
you to Macromedia’s publicity mailing list, and you will receive continuous e-mail
from them.
Q: What will
happen if I choose to receive automatic Shockwave player updates?
A: You will automatically receive updated versions of Macromedia’s
Shockwave Player. Macromedia will also receive data from your computer about your use of
the Shockwave player.
