Clinical Studies
Welcome
Thank you for visiting our website. The Vaccine
Research Center at the National Institutes of Health conducts
research to develop AIDS vaccines. I direct the clinical studies
to test promising vaccine candidates for safety and effectiveness
in healthy volunteers. By participating in these studies,
you may be able to advance our search for an AIDS vaccine
that will help prevent the spread of this fatal infectious
disease, and also give us valuable new insights into how to
create new vaccines for other diseases.
If you are interested in participating in a
trial, please contact us at 1-866-833-LIFE (5433)
or e-mail us at VRCforlife@mail.nih.gov to learn more about AIDS vaccines. You are also invited
to browse our site where we provide information on Clinical
Trials - the steps
to volunteer, vaccine
safeguards, and some FAQs
that may interest you. We also have information on current
trials at the VRC and elsewhere.
I hope that you will find our site useful and
informative. Our goal is to update this site frequently with
new information on our trials, our progress, and relevant
information on AIDS and HIV. So, please visit us again.
