USGS 01105608 WHITMANS POND FISH LADDER AT EAST WEYMOUTH, MA

  LOCATION

LOCATION.--Lat 42o12'47", long 70o55'35", Norfolk County, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, on left bank at base of fish ladder, 100 ft downstream from Iron Hill Street, 300 ft downstream from Iron Hill Dam, at East Weymouth, MA.
DRAINAGE AREA.--12.5 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--December 2001 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS.--Records not rated. Flows affected by withdrawals for public water supply of Weymouth. High flows affected by diversions to flood by-pass system at Whitmans and Iron Hill Dams (01105607). The Old Swamp River gage (01105600) is located 0.4 mi upstream from Whitmans Pond and points of water withdrawals and diversions.
COOPERATION.--Town of Weymouth, MA.
